About Alzerina

Alzerina Gomes is a Cape Verdean-born jewelry and fashion designer whose journey from a small village on the island of Santo Antão to New York City reflects resilience, creativity, and purpose. Taught to sew by her mother at age four, Alzerina's passion for handmade artistry began early. After moving to Paris in the 1990s, she fell in love with jewelry at Daniel Swarovski Paris and later brought her vision to life in New York.

In 2005, she launched Alzerina Jewelry, a handcrafted jewelry brand blending elegance, global influences, and healing energy. Her designs made with crystals, pearls, and semi-precious stones - have been featured at The Plaza Hotel, Henri Bendel, and Blue Tree, and are available on Alzerina.com, Amazon, Etsy, and soon Walmart.

Beyond jewelry, Alzerina leads creative wellness workshops that use jewelry-making as a tool for empowerment and self-care. Her classes serve women’s shelters, autism centers, corporate groups, and luxury resorts - helping people of all ages reconnect with their creativity and confidence.

Alzerina’s work has been recognized with awards from global leaders, including the President of Cabo Verde. Her mission is to uplift others through beauty, creativity, and handmade expression - reminding every person that they are seen, worthy, and they shine.
